Mandarin Chinese Language Camps for the Summer

A parent asked us for a recommendation, so we wanted to share a few with you here. If anyone has additional information, please send it in via comment form!

Sidwell Friends Summer Camp

Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (they have a Mandarin component available)

UCLA and the Confucius Institute (high schoolers only)

Crossroads School in LA is always fun, but they have no Chinese program in the summer.

Concordia Language Villages in Minnesota has summer sleep away language immersion camps for ages 7-18. I am hoping to send our daughter to their 1-week "exploration" camp in Mandarin in summer 2011 when she is 7.5 years old.

Hi,

Chinese language class after school or on the weekend. This program provides students an opportunity to explore and expand their knowledge in Chinese language and culture through a highly structured theme- and task-based curriculum. Thanks a lot...
